PUBG Mobile Weapon Tier List (2026): Best Guns for Every Range
Tier lists float around every patch, but most of them recycle old numbers. This one is built around three questions that actually decide fights in PUBG Mobile: how fast does the gun deal damage, how hard is it to control on a phone screen, and does it stay useful after the first two zones. Rank each weapon below with that lens and the meta becomes easy to read.
S tier — build your loadout around these
The M416 remains the benchmark assault rifle. With a compensator, vertical grip and extended mag it is controllable enough for thumb players at 4x and still shreds at 40 meters. The AKM trades some of that stability for raw damage and punishes anyone caught reloading. In the sniper slot the AWM stays untouchable — it one-taps a level 3 helmet — while the Kar98k is the realistic pick in normal matches. For close range the UMP45 is quietly the best SMG after its damage buff: cheap ammo, huge mag, and it barely moves when you spray.
| Weapon | Class | Best range | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| M416 | AR 5.56 | 0–200m | S — default pick |
| AKM | AR 7.62 | 0–150m | S — damage king |
| UMP45 | SMG | 0–60m | S — close range |
| AWM | Bolt sniper | 200m+ | S — airdrop only |
A tier — strong, situational picks
The SCAR-L is a fair M416 substitute when attachments are scarce. Beryl M762 has the highest DPS of any common AR but its vertical recoil is brutal without a comp and a half-grip; claw players get the most out of it. The Mini 14 is the safest DMR in the game — flat trajectory, fast follow-up shots, almost no recoil per shot. The DBS took another nerf this season and drops from S to A: still devastating inside buildings, less forgiving beyond 30 meters.
B tier and below — use them, don't rely on them
The M16A4 burst is awkward on touch controls. The Vector runs out of ammo before the fight ends. Shotguns other than the DBS stay niche for a reason. And the crossbow exists. If you land on one early, treat it as a bridge to your real loadout, not as your plan.
How attachments change the list
Attachments move guns between tiers more than patches do. A compensator on the AKM turns a C-tier spray into an A-tier one; a tactical stock on the M416 is the difference between winning and losing mirror fights. Priorities: compensator first on every 7.62 gun, extended mag on anything automatic, and a cheek pad on DMRs.
